Caleb Martin was born on September 11, 1999 to Daryl and Rebekah Martin. Growing up, Caleb was deeply influenced by his parents belief in Christ. From a young age, he passionately pursued Christ and went out into the mission field to Malawi, Africa with his family. In 2011, he lost his father, Daryl, while he was visiting a game park to take photos of the wildlife as he was an avid photographer and this would be his last chance to visit the game park before Daryl and his family transitioned to Cambodia. Although he was not there when Daryl was killed, Caleb took his death extremely hard. Inspite of this, Caleb and his remaining family made a vow to not go dark, to not turn away from God as would be expected with this tragedy.
Keeping true to their promise, Caleb and his mother, Rebekah Martin, have and continue to go out into the nations, sharing the gospel and showing God’s love to everyone they meet.
A Note from Caleb
The Bio above is my vision. It is a written representation of what I feel called to do. God has called me to show people around the world His love as well as the way HE sees His creation and children. It is my belief that the church needs to shift its paradigm; to refocus and see themselves, each other, and God the way they were created to and the way God wants them to.
In Matthew 22:36 a man asked Jesus what the greatest commandment was and He replied: “Jesus replied, ‘”You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.'” (Matthew 22:37:40). I feel called to follow these commandments and to help those around the world to follow them as well. And the way I’m doing that is to first show them the beauty and awe-striking creation of God. This is not only nature, but us as well. Because everything that we’ve made and done in our lives and in the lives of others is an extension of God. All of the good and evil in the world is caused by us. If we can shift our focus from us to Him then we can begin to change the world around us by simply living in it. This is why I will go out into the nations and show everyone I meet His love.
